AirAsia Lost Baggage How-tos

Once you can’t find your luggage, you should immediately inform AirAsia service officers and present the baggage tag to enable AirAsia officers to track your baggage via Baggage Tracing System. After that, you will be given a PIR (Property Irregularity Report) number which can be used to check the status of missing baggage through AirAsia website (Manage My Booking)

Note: The baggage tag was given to you during check-in.

The baggage will be declared missing only after 7 days (domestic travel), 14 days (international travel) from the date of PIR. Then you need to prepare the following documents:

1)      Copy of guest passport/ID

2)      Copy of guest bank book/statement

3)      SWIFT/BCB/IBN code (for international transaction)

4)      An authorization letter for 3rd party account (if necessary)

5)      Copy of 3rd part passport/ID (if necessary)

FireFly Lost Baggage How-tos

Comparing to AirAsia’s lost baggage policy; Firefly has stated clearly the lost baggage compensation in its schedule fees. For domestic flight, a lost baggage will be compensated MYR 48 per kilo while international flight will be compensated MYR 80 per kilo. However, all the baggage compensation is subject to Firefly’s General Conditions of Carriage.
